Bathtubs, Showers, Sinks
Bathtub refinishing also known as bathtub resurfacing, bathtub reglazing or bathtub re-enameling is the process of refreshing the surface of a worn, damaged bathtub/shower/sink to a like-new condition.
Not only do we specialize in bathtub refinishing, we also perform repairs on damaged surfaces.

-
All our projects are just a ONE-DAY process. If you have multiple services at the same address, we are able to schedule them in such a way to have everything done on the same day.
-
All refinished surfaces need 24 hours to cure before use. Occasionally longer cure times are recommended. We will discuss that case by case.
-
The products and materials we use are very industrial and have an odor with them. We do set up ventilation fans to help pull out fumes, bring in fresh air and keep odor to minimum. These fumes are strong but not harmful. Typically, it takes about one to two hours for the fumes to dissipate.
-
Our process and equipment do create some dust. We put down drop cloths and place plastic over things to help contain the dust. There maybe a little dust to wipe off after our process, but we do our best to keep things as protected and cleaned as possible. This dust wipes right off with a damp rag.
-
All our applications are applied with spray equipment. Therefore, we do put up a lot of masking tape and paper. Occasionally when taking the masking tape down, the tape can pull paint off a wall or other surface. If you have touch-up paint available, we will be happy to touch up surfaces where paint was removed in the clean-up process. We are very careful and make sure to use easy-release tape, but sometimes this does happen.
-
Cosmetic and structural repairs to bathtubs/showers/sinks are an additional charge to our standard service. We estimate those in the cost up front.

There are 4 types of materials bathtubs can be made from: porcelain (over steel or cast iron), cultured marble, fiberglass, and acrylic. The most common type and size of residential bathtub is a 5 foot rectangular porcelain tub, fiberglass in rental apartments.
Acrylic and fiberglass tubs can be oversized, jetted, and any shape. Cultured marble tubs, however, are always oversized, and like acrylic and fiberglass, can be oval, round, or square-shaped, as well as jetted or non-jetted.
We solve a variety of bathtub problems including:

-
Please remove loose items from the bathtub area and bathroom.
-
We will put plastic over vanity top surfaces and drop cloths over the floor and toilet. Placing small loose items under a cabinet or removing them from the bathroom will help to make sure nothing gets damaged or misplaced.
-
We do not remove fixtures or reinstall fixtures. We have faced issues in the past where things began to leak when removed or did not quite go back on the way they were before removing them. We can no longer accept the liability because of our limited plumbing experience and tools.
-
Drips in bathtubs need to be resolved prior to resurfacing. If there is a drip in the faucet, our technicians may need to shut the water off to the house during the process if we cannot take care of the drip.
-
Stripping an old finish off a bathtub, making structural repairs to a bathtub surface, or removing shower doors and shower door tracks permanently will add to the cost of the project. We typically try to discuss these things during the estimation process, but occasionally we miss something and realize there will be an additional cost involved.
